Year 5 19/20
Welcome to Year 5.
During this difficult time I would like the children to continue their learning by sticking to a school based timetable. The children have access to hundreds of resources which are detailed below and in their home learning books. I will also regularly send activities on Purple Mash and See Saw. Take care!
The children will have topic based homework each half term. The homework will have a range of activities for the children to choose from. There will be a minimum number of activities the children will need to complete but I would encourage them to try to do all of them. Homework will be collected in every Thursday.
To email your homework to us, please use the email address email@example.com
This address is for homework use only, to contact the school please use the school telephone number 01455 283247 or call into the school office.
Children will need to learn their spellings for a weekly test which will be on Mondays. They will also need to bring their spelling booklet into school every Monday so their score can be recorded.
In year 5 my aim is for every child to read at least 3 times a week. This can be their school book, library book or own book. Reading must be recorded in the reading record which will be checked every Friday. Children who read regularly will be rewarded!

Children will have outdoor PE on Tuesday and indoor on Wednesday. They will need a pair of trainers for outdoor PE.
School PE kit is a white t-shirt and dark shorts. A track suit may be worn for outdoor PE.
